She holds a Masters of Art in Counseling Studies from Manchester University (United Kingdom,) Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Moi University, Higher Diploma in Counseling Psychology and a Diploma in Human Resource from Nairobi University.

Dorcas is currently the CEO and HR Manager of Pambazuko Promotions Limited. Has worked with the Good Life Orphanage as a Psychological Therapist, SGS Kenya as a Human Resource Officer and Kenya Association of Professional Counselors as a Counselor.
